School of Friendship 2013
... the focus was on the modern Serbian language and nice expression and as the basis for learning was the book “Jezikojed” by the author Natasa Radulovic
From July 6 to 27, on the Tara Mountain, under the general sponsorship of the “Holcim” company with its customers, it was held the thirteenth School of Friendship which gathered this summer more than 400 children from Serbia and countries in the region. Special guest of “Nasa Srbija” were twenty Russian children from Moscow whose arrival were organized in cooperation with the Department for working with children and young people of the Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church.
The essence of the project is the cultural and educational program “Serbian code,” intended for Serbian children who live in countries in the region. In the first group of the participants there were children from Republika Srpska – from Nevesinje, Ljubinje, Gacko, Berkovic, Bileca, and Serbian children from Montenegro – from Berane, Plav, Andrijevica and Bijelo Polje.
They met for the second time in the School of friendship where they continued their participation in the program “Serbian code” which they began last summer.
For the Russian children, in the School of Friendship, there were organized special workshops of Serbian language and very important part of the program was the theme of the Serbian-Russian relations throughout history and closeness of the two Orthodox peoples.
Socializing Serbian and Russian children lasted until July 16, when another group of the “Serbian code” participants came to Tara: children from Serbian enclaves in Kosovo and Metohija, from Trebinje, Montenegro and from Shkodra in Albania.
School of Friendship was held this year also at the “White Pine” hotel of Military facility “Tara.”
